Launched by the Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets (SIFEM)’s Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), the Skills for Employment Excellence and Impact (SEE Impact) Award recognizes and co-finances impactful, innovative, and scalable projects from underlying portfolio companies of SIFEM partner funds and financial institutions that enhance workforce skills, employability, and employment quality. The award aims to empower businesses to become exemplary employers while driving sustainable development.
The 2025 edition of the Award attracted 34 applicants across three Award tiers: Pioneer, Catalyst, and Game Changer, with each bringing forward innovative proposals.
In this blog post, we’re presenting one of the two finalists in the Game Changer tier that have each developed highly impactful projects to advance workforce skills, employability, and employment quality.
Outsourcia
Inclusive Pathways
For over 20 years, Outsourcia has been operating as an international outsourcing group recognized for its expertise in customer relations, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), back-office, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), medical outsourcing, and research services. With presence in France, Morocco, Tunisia, and Madagascar, the Group brings together over 4,300 employees fluent in more than 10 languages. Outsourcia is a portfolio company of SPE Capital’s Africa Industrialisation Fund I (AIF I), to which SIFEM committed USD 10m in 2020.

In 2024, Outsourcia launched the OutsourcIA Lab, a “Test & Learn” initiative dedicated to generative artificial intelligence, reflecting its commitment to innovate while maintaining human expertise. True to its mission of building lasting connections between companies and clients, Outsourcia places people at the heart of its model and actively contributes to skills development, inclusion, and positive social impact in the communities where it operates.Their proposal to the SEE Impact Award, Inclusive Pathways, follows the same spirit. In a high-paced and competitive industry that Outsourcia operates in, entry barriers and high talent attrition are key challenges. Women, youth, people with disabilities, and seniors face systemic barriers to entering and advancing in the workforce, while internal employees risk stagnation without structured development. Outsourcia’s proposal is designed to remove these barriers—not by lowering the bar, but by changing how the system meets people. The initiative intentionally targets those most at risk of being left behind, creating tailored pathways for growth, retention, and greater satisfaction at work.

The project integrates three pillars of skills enhancement, employability, and employment quality with a holistic approach. Participants, both existing staff and potential future recruits, follow personalized learning journeys for skills enhancement combining digital modules, live workshops, and individualized mentoring. Employability improvement is supported by coaching and tailored entry points for underrepresented groups and employment quality is improved through personalized development plans and regular check-ins, hybrid work arrangements, and access to support services such as psychological support and internal mobility pathways.
The approach adapts to local contexts and individual needs, partnering with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), vocational platforms, and community actors to reach overlooked talent pools. The project is planned for inaugural launch in Morocco, followed by adapted launch in Tunisia, Madagascar, and France, with each deployment shaped by local needs and real feedback.+
As a result of this project, by 2027, Outsourcia expects at least 4,000 beneficiaries to have access to its learning management system (LMS), an 85% completion rate for digital training among participants and a 35% hiring rate from underrepresented groups. It also anticipates turnover rate to reduce by 15% and employee satisfaction score to improve by over 20%.
The project’s potential to reshape workforce practices in its industry across the different countries where it operates can set a precedent for sustainable, people-centred growth by demonstrating how targeted support and systemic change can strengthen communities while generating long-term value for the company and its shareholders.
Changing the Game: Inclusive blueprint for win-win solutions
The Game Changer tier finalists exemplify how bold, inclusive workforce strategies can drive meaningful progress in both business and society. Projects like Outsourcia’s Inclusive Pathways show that when organizations invest in skills, opportunity, and support for those most often left behind, they not only strengthen their own talent pipelines but also help reshape industry standards and uplift communities.
SIFEM’s SEE Impact Award celebrates these forward-thinking proposals, recognizing that sustainable growth and innovation are built on a foundation of diversity, collaboration, and shared impact.
Stay tuned: The winners of the SEE Impact Award 2025, including for the Game Changer tier, will be announced on November 5, 2025.
